The Web Applications Tab
The Web Applications Tab allows you to deploy web applications or edit already deployed web applications for a virtual server. The Web Applications tab contains the following pages:

The Java Web Applications Settings Page allows you to assign a web applications file to a specified virtual server. The web applications file contains settings for all the web applications in the virtual server.
For more information, see the Deploying Web Applications.
The following elements are displayed:
Web Applications File. Enter the Path to the web applications file for the virtual server.
The Path can be either an absolute path or a file name. This is set to web-apps.xml for the default virtual server.
Web Applications State. Determines whether web applications are enabled on the virtual server.
If the state is set to Off, the web application will not be available to the virtual server.
Reset. Erases your changes and resets the elements in the page to the values they contained before your changes.
The Deploy Web Application Page
The Deploy Web Application Page allows you to deploy a WAR file containing the web application on the selected virtual server.
For more information, see the Deploying Web Applications.
The following elements are displayed:
WAR File On. Allows you to select Local Machine or Server Machine.
Select Local Machine when uploading a WAR file to your server. Select Server Machine when the WAR file already resides there.
WAR File Path. Enter the path on the local or server machine to the WAR file containing the web application. On server machines enter the absolute path to the WAR file.
Browse. On local machines you will be able to browse the available paths. Clicking browse will bring up the File Upload window, allowing you to select the WAR file to upload to your server.
Application URI. Enter the URI on the virtual server for the web application.
Installation Directory. Enter the absolute path to the directory on the server machine where the contents of the WAR file will be extracted from. If the directory does not exist, one will be created.
Reset. Erases your changes and resets the elements in the page to the values they contained before your changes.
The Edit Web Applications Page
The Edit Web Applications Page allows you to edit, delete, disable, or enable web applications on a selected virtual server.

The following elements are displayed:
Action. Select Edit, Delete, Enable, or Disable from the drop-down list in the Action column for the specified application. Choose:
Edit to change the URI.
Delete to delete the web application entry from the web applications file and delete the directory where the web application is deployed
Disable to make the web application inaccessible from the URI, but not delete it.
Enable to reactivate web applications that were previously disabled. URI. Displays the URI from which the web application can be accessed.
Directory. Displays the directory in which the web application is deployed.
Reset. Erases your changes and resets the elements in the page to the values they contained before your changes.
